Re: Vashon Neufville
For some strange reason his name makes me think he could be the next Dutch whizzkid from Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV

But he isn't Dutch nor does he appear to be a whizzkid

Oh well

Re: Vashon Neufville
So you're advocating signing him based on one ok performance against Leicester City? good job you're not a football scout!

Re: Vashon Neufville
Andrew Ware: PL2 is a bit different to the reserves - it's u23s, with up to 4 overage outfield players allowed.

Not sure what impact this has had on the game. Very subjectively (i.e., based on fa - not FA! - evidence) I think younger players get a chance to hang around clubs for longer than they used to, if they don't look like obvious future first teamers

Played well against Leicester so a bit odd only to get one more game.

Re: Vashon Neufville
Sounds like the loan to Newport did not go too well. Just 2 appearences and back home early. If he cannot make it in league 2, what chance in the Prem?

Not a bad experience to have for your first real professional game.

It was Semenyo who impressed me. On loan from Bristol City. Looks like he'll have a bright future.

Re: Vashon Neufville
Watched him in the PL2 (they used to be called the bloody Reserves once upon a time) verses Chelsea at Aldershot just before Christmas, he had a solid game.
I seem to think he was playing as a winger/forward when he was with the Under 18s.

Solid performance from him, nothing spectacular, did the basics well, then got forward and his cross gained the Pen.

Neufville gets penalty for Newport. Home team 2-1 up with minutes to go.

Bloke who scored their goal looks a better bet than Perez.

The last time I watched one of our youth play on loan in the cup on TV, it was Samuelsen impressing for Peterbrough, its a shame he never kicked on.

Re: Vashon Neufville
He can't be any worse than Cresswell/Masuaku can he?
